MAME 166 Video Snap Update *Still Going*

Tried and tried and no luck, there's definitely something fishy with this game.

Delete the nvram and sta and load game. Wait until you see the red line on top of screen showing bd 0 and cd c. This will take just a little over a minute. The alarm might go off but will shut off. When you finally see the red line hit the plus key and you should here a bell and a new menu. Hit the plus sign again and the bell will ring again and load game. Also you think we should move this topic to a new thread maybe called mame nvrams? Or loading hard games in mame?

Thanks joe, that did the trick! I see what was the problem now, you mentioned the plus key and I tried both the keypad and the normal one and it never did anything, but just realized that the plus key on my keyboard layout isn't in the same place as the in the US layout, so it's a different key for me

All sorted now and works fine, seems the nvram doesn't do anything though as I need to go through the same procedure every time, I ended up creating a save state for it like you did.

I agree with you I think it's probably better to open a new thread for this kind of discussion, it's getting a bit off-topic on this one, do you want to open it?

Updating Progress

 I have adjusted my encoding algorithms a lot, and you have to remember this set was originally started almost 5 years ago. I also started recording at 1600x1200 seems to make an overall better finished video.

They are on the ftp and download service side. Been working on perfecting the set over the past year. It's a ton of work to update the download section on the site so im not even going to attempt it until we are done. The set on the FTP and download service is audited to be about 99.9% complete.

Nice custom artwork I had done by Mike Boss for my front-end MaLa. When no marquee is found for a game my custom marquee pops up. Also took a picture of my CP and used it on the cabinet. Now if we can only get these snap videos updated.

 

Edit: Updated the artwork. Added UFO's and changed the text on Q*bert. Not too busy? Going to look sweet after these mame videos are updated. Awesome work as always Circo.

Sweet only about another 200 left on my list for now. After you catch up I will continue with letter B for ones that need to be redone that have bad videos. I looked on the FTP and just pretty much going my the date they were uploaded and just looking for the ones in 2011. There are 2129 in that year that where modified not counting the ones you are working on. So this might take 2 years to complete. When done with this current list I will just go by Alphabetical letter one at a time until you complete the letter and then move on to next letter. Can anyone else help out? I'm a noob when it comes to video capturing. I'm not sure who is going to kill me first. Your wife or you. lol
