Atari 5200 Video Snaps Updated (74 New Videos)

Happy weekend everyone! Today we have 74 new video snaps for the Atari 5200 bringing the full set up to 169 videos in total.  Most of these new videos are the unlicensed and prototype titles that were not previously included.  A mister fpga was used to record all the game footage.

XBOX 360 Video Snaps Retail Released (1,144 New Videos)

I am super excited to announce that the XBOX 360 Retail Video Snaps set is finally out.  For this 1.0 release we have 1,144 new video snaps for you guys.  This was the first major pass at this, didn't include any kinect only games yet, live service games are of course excluded and there are quite a few others that I couldn't get to easily run that may also be mission, but it is rather complete.

MAME HD Video Snaps Complete (Full Video Set Redo)

After 2 years of effort we here at EmuMovies have finally completely re-recorded and remade the complete MAME video snap set.  The previous set had its roots going back 16 years and things look so much better now.  The new videos are available in 1080p, 480p and 240p sizes depending on your use case and are available on the website in 240p quality and on our FTP and Sync services in all quality levels.  Thanks to our internal team for helping to get all these done, edited and available.  We will keep posting updates to our sync and ftp services monthly as new titles come out (we are working on another update right now) but if we don't just stop and announce our progress nobody will know! 
So please take a moment and refresh your video snaps, you will be glad you did.  Thanks to all our supporters and front-ends that keep us going every month and a huge shout out to Launchbox for their 11 years of partnership.  Enjoy the content everyone.

Nintendo Switch Video Snaps Updated (3,520 Videos)

Today we dropped some new video snaps for the Nintendo Switch. The set is now at 3,520 videos covering hopefully most of what people need. There is an almost unlimited amount of games (shovelware) for this system.  I think the total is now somewhere north of 16,000 games in the library. So here is what we are asking, if you are still missing some videos for installed games or find an error, please let us know in the EmuMovies request section on the forums and we can prioritize those videos on the next round.

Nintendo 3DS Video Snaps Updated (73 New Videos)

Happy Easter Everyone!  We have an update for the Nintendo 3DS today, version 1.1.  73 new video snaps havce been added bringing the full set to 583 video snaps.  Big thanks to @RLBradders26 and @drewby for helping out with the recordings.  Video Snaps are currently available via EmuMovies Sync and the EmuMovies FTPs.  Videos are in HD and HQ versions. 
Our next release has been cooking for awhile, we are working towards are first big Nintendo Switch video snaps release.  Progress is being uploaded every couple of days to the FTPs and 1.0 should be ready by the end of April.  Feel free to take a peek if you are curious.

      HyperSpin 1.3 Update Release

      After more than two years, BadBoyBill has released a major update to HyperSpin. Version 1.3 was released about an hour ago with many improvements users have been waiting for. For us here at EmuMovies, one of the most anticipated features has finally been added, MP4 support!!! Now users can use our MP4 video snaps vs the lower quality and insanely bloated FLV format. In the thread over at the HyperSpin forums BadBoyBill even mentions that version 1.4 may be out in a week or so with even more requested features, as well as any bug-fixes (if any) that are needed from this update.       This update includes HS and HQ 1.3, these are just 2 exe's you can overwrite your current exe's with. This won't effect your current setups.
      Changes:
      Added mp4 support
      Added wheel smoothing for crisper wheel graphics and text.
      Updated flash player to 11.
      Added last system support when restarting HyperSpin.
      Tried to fix sound issue (untested)
      Added PCLauncher support for HyperLaunch.

      HyperSync Now #1 Method of Downloading EmuMovies

      Now that we have multiple Front-Ends accessing our Download Service I decided to take a look and compare how they are all doing. For the longest time our own universal downloading app has held the lead, but now HyperSync (The Auto Downloader for HyperSpin) has finally taken the lead. With HyperSpin 1.3 releasing later today with MP4 support (Finally) this number should really explode. The EM DSU drops to second with GameEx coming in 3rd. EmuControl Center and GameBrowser are newer additions and don't seem to have taken off just yet.       (FIXED) Registration System Down After Upgrade

      A couple of days ago EmuMovies was upgraded to the latest version of the board software. Somehow this broke our registration system, we are working with IPB to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. I know the timing of this couldn't be worse with the upcoming release of HyperSpin 1.3 on Monday (with MP4 support). If you would like to open a new supporting member account please open a support ticket and we can manually create an account for you. We wish we could do this for all registrations but we average way too many on a daily basis to manually create them. I will update this post when the situation is resolved.

      EmuMovies member Monyet and I have been putting some time in with Nintendo GameCube this month and we have 211 new Video Snaps completed. I decided to start over as emulation has somewhat improved and relatively it's a smaller set. I also saw an opportunity to increase the quality of the whole set.       Since April, EmuMovies member Vicman has been working on a Commodore VIC-20 Video Snap and Artwork set. While still a work in progress, I have added the videos completed thus far to the FTP and Download service in all formats. This is an extremely complete set and includes 1361 videos that cover #-S (S is still in progress). Continue reading for a complete file listing of what has been added.

      Visual Pinball Video Snaps [HyperPin/Full Screen][1080p]

      This is a completely new set of videos for use with the HyperPin Front-End. I wasn't completely happy with the test set of 147 videos that we put out in 2011 so I was able to find a better capture method with higher quality and frame-rates. Also I have been able to tweak the encoding process to make the file sizes almost half of what they were last year. For example the 2011 test of 147 videos was about 2GB in size, this new set of 425 videos is 3GB in size while actually improving quality. These are in no way re-encodes of existing videos and are exclusive to EmuMovies. This set is fully current as of the release date but if you notice some tables missing or have any requests please let us know in the support topic.
