I'll remove the test tape and bb proto thanks joe. Regarding the Star Wars Arcade, you're talking about the Model 1 game right? This game was added a few versions back specifically because someone asked me to do it telling me the game was actually playable even though it had some issues (besides being marked as not working on MAME). I recall testing it and apparently was working at least to some extent, so I added it. It's not working anymore? Something seems to have gone wrong with the XML generation since I now see some casino games weren't removed, I'll have a look at it to see what was the problem and correct that, thanks for the heads up.

Yep, no DVC support means a lot of games won't work. There were some copyright issues indeed and they were waiting until patents expired (which is a very debatable subject on this particular case), but proper DVC support was never added to MESS anyway. CDiEmu does offer limited DVC support in the latest beta, still a long road to go though.

MESS only supports CD-i mono so it's far from being a decent CD-i emulator and it's not likely there will be major progresses anytime soon. Not that CDiEmu is much better plus that emulator is pretty much dead as far as I can tell.

Does MALA only output working games? Because I can easily generate one with the missing Quiz games included. Do you mean MALA exported 80 more casino games than my XML? Are they all working? Because that doesn't sound right unless the driver info on MAME isn't correct.

joe, remember that even the XML with Casino games doesn't include all working games as all the non-English quiz games are always stripped out. If you need a XML with working games only, but also including these let me know. MAMERENSET will only be effective if you rename the files on each MAME release, the current MAME video set wasn't named after any particular version anymore so MAMERENSET could never get everything right. I spent one day fixing a similar problem on the themes and art on HyperSync a few versions back, since then no one seems to have done it anymore so things are slowly getting back to chaos there as well... That's why it's important to rename the assets on every new release, otherwise filenames will become a mess pretty fast.

Circo, the Intro video for AAE in the FTP is corrupted so it needs to be replaced. Only plays until around 50 seconds or so.

Newly added games are actually the problem since I need to test them 1 by 1 to figure the genres and ratings. And this time there seem to be quite a few of them, even though most seem to be the usual Casino crap. Renames aren't a big deal, all the info is on RenameSET already so I'm already making use of that Do you have any idea of what's going on with Catver32? No news since 152 which is pretty weird. Polemicist offered to help with the genres in the HS forums, so hopefully we might be able to see an update sooner than later.

Yeah, just saw it. Now get me Catver32 RenameSET is the most important one anyway, I can do it without Catver, but having it up to date will help out with the process.

Umm what Rayman Junior are you talking about? The 4 of them in the current database are all different games. What's the clone of Turbo Prop Racing? That game is called Rapid Racer in Europe and it's not included on the database. Is there any other name? Unless you are talking about the HyperList XML?

Thanks Trnzaddict! Circo, there's something wrong with that missing list. Several games on it already have videos, like the Final Fantasy games, Wing Commander III or Deathtrap Dungeon. Probably more.
