Atari 5200 Video Snaps Updated (74 New Videos)

Happy weekend everyone! Today we have 74 new video snaps for the Atari 5200 bringing the full set up to 169 videos in total.  Most of these new videos are the unlicensed and prototype titles that were not previously included.  A mister fpga was used to record all the game footage.

XBOX 360 Video Snaps Retail Released (1,144 New Videos)

I am super excited to announce that the XBOX 360 Retail Video Snaps set is finally out.  For this 1.0 release we have 1,144 new video snaps for you guys.  This was the first major pass at this, didn't include any kinect only games yet, live service games are of course excluded and there are quite a few others that I couldn't get to easily run that may also be mission, but it is rather complete.

MAME HD Video Snaps Complete (Full Video Set Redo)

After 2 years of effort we here at EmuMovies have finally completely re-recorded and remade the complete MAME video snap set.  The previous set had its roots going back 16 years and things look so much better now.  The new videos are available in 1080p, 480p and 240p sizes depending on your use case and are available on the website in 240p quality and on our FTP and Sync services in all quality levels.  Thanks to our internal team for helping to get all these done, edited and available.  We will keep posting updates to our sync and ftp services monthly as new titles come out (we are working on another update right now) but if we don't just stop and announce our progress nobody will know! 
So please take a moment and refresh your video snaps, you will be glad you did.  Thanks to all our supporters and front-ends that keep us going every month and a huge shout out to Launchbox for their 11 years of partnership.  Enjoy the content everyone.

Nintendo Switch Video Snaps Updated (3,520 Videos)

Today we dropped some new video snaps for the Nintendo Switch. The set is now at 3,520 videos covering hopefully most of what people need. There is an almost unlimited amount of games (shovelware) for this system.  I think the total is now somewhere north of 16,000 games in the library. So here is what we are asking, if you are still missing some videos for installed games or find an error, please let us know in the EmuMovies request section on the forums and we can prioritize those videos on the next round.

Nintendo 3DS Video Snaps Updated (73 New Videos)

Happy Easter Everyone!  We have an update for the Nintendo 3DS today, version 1.1.  73 new video snaps havce been added bringing the full set to 583 video snaps.  Big thanks to @RLBradders26 and @drewby for helping out with the recordings.  Video Snaps are currently available via EmuMovies Sync and the EmuMovies FTPs.  Videos are in HD and HQ versions. 
Our next release has been cooking for awhile, we are working towards are first big Nintendo Switch video snaps release.  Progress is being uploaded every couple of days to the FTPs and 1.0 should be ready by the end of April.  Feel free to take a peek if you are curious.

      I am calling this run of video snaps the EmuMovies loves Demul series.  The Sega Dreamcast and its affiliated arcade systems are some of my favorites.  When I found out just what a big improvement the latest Demul emulator was over previous versions I decided it was time to redo all the Video Snaps.  This pack is a HUGE improvement over our previous set, and I have also made a new default platform video as well as new gameplay and title snaps.  These new Demul based packs will be available in SD, HQ & HD quality levels.

      Locomalito Games Video Snaps Released

      We have some new media for Locomalito games released today.  If your not sure what these are check out the Locomalito website as all are free downloads save for the newest one Maldita Castilla EX which is available on Steam.  Today's updates include 18 new video snaps, a default platform video as well as gameplay and title snaps.  I had a ton of fun recording this set and I can't wait to get them installed in my front end.  This media is also being added to the Microsoft Windows collection which now has 5,933 video snaps.  The new Locomalito video snaps are available in HD (720p), HQ (480p) and SQ (240p).  HD and HQ packs are available via our EmuMovies FTP file server and the EmuMovies Sync service.

      Famicom Disk System Ver 2.0 Videos and Artwork Released

      Next up on our insane summer release schedule is a whole bunch of new media for the Nintendo Famicom Disk System.  First off, a completely new and much needed video snaps pack.  The old pack was 92 videos that were recordings from a fairly glitchy emulator with loads of sound issues.  Replacing that pack are 210 brand new videos captured in RetroArch and are nicely hand edited.  We also have a new default platform video as well as a new entry in our parallax series.  I have also added matching gameplay and title snap packs.  Continue reading after the samples for a breakout of the new videos.

      Sega Master System Version 2.0 Video Snaps Released

      Still going..... It's a great summer of new content at EmuMovies and next up on the list is a BRAND NEW video snap set for the Sega Master System.  It's ridiculous how much better these retroarch captures are vs the old Kega Fusion recordings.   But we keep at it and the quality keeps improving, and today we have 334 new captures, hand edited to perfection.  Initial captures and edits by @DamnedRegistrations also known as the man under the stairs.  Final edits and encoding by @Circo.  DR put together this handy dandy screenshot that we all had a good laugh over.

      Because there is nothing better to do during a blazing hot summer than play classic video games we present to the world the brand new EmuMovies Official Sega Game Gear version 2.0  video snaps pack.   As many of you have commented on our previous full set updates, this is yet another huge quality increase.  These videos are all 60fps with great sound and a nice healthy bitrate.  If you havent noticed our new High Quality videos take up more space than they used to.  All I can tell you is, it's the future, progress has a price.  But we still have the Standard Quality versions for you space conscious folks.  Here are some tasty before and after samples:

      Another Game Boy Video Snap Update (Version 2.1)

      We just released the new version 2.0 Nintendo Game Boy video snap set a week ago and we already have an update to the set bringing it to version 2.1.  We have 2 more video snaps for you guys both recent translation, which are always awesome. (Where are the Dreamcast translations???)  Thanks again to @DamnedRegistrations, who we are keeping locked in a dark basement and the only way he gets fed is to play old games... Your welcome people!  Anyway he did the initial captures and edits for these videos.  We have also added the Standard Quality videos to the website for the 2.x videos.  Continue past the samples for info on exactly what is new.

      Nintendo Famicom Video Snaps Updated (Version 1.5)

      Nintendo 64DD Video Snaps Released

      Another small set for you guys that absolutely must have everything, the Nintendo 64DD now has a Video Snap set and an EM Default platform video.  I could not get Sim City or Dezaemon DD to run so those are not included as of yet.  But we do have 11 video snaps in both HQ and SQ formats ready to add to what must be a vast collection if you are adding this system.  For those of you not aware of what the Nintendo 64DD is, here is what the Super Mario Wiki has to say about it:  The Nintendo 64DD (short for 64 Dynamic Drive) was a disk drive unit that, like the Family Computer Disk System, attached to a Nintendo 64 and could play games in a magnetic disk format, with the disks containing their own internal memory written through the N64 instead of the disk itself. There were also several peripherals used for it. It was released in Japan in December 1999. It was scheduled for release in America in 2000, but it ended up being a commercial failure due to the way it was sold (mainly through subscription to the RanDnetDD online service and low retail units in stores), so it was never released outside Japan.
