hello,

I wonder if anyone figured out how to click away the disclaimer / validation screen which comes up right before the game starts. It annoys me to hit "left right left right and any key". I found out that in the mala / mame / config / miscellaneous menu you can tick "deactivate disclaimer" and "skip validation". But: it wirks like for the first game, then it automatically "unticks" the box and the screen comes up again!!!!

Is this a bug? is this wanted? Do I need to rewrite the code??

Thankful for any hint. thanks

don

Unfortunately the MAME developers have not made this an option for legal reasons. The only way that I am aware of that allows you to work around this is to compile your own version of MAME. To learn how, go to http://mameworld.info/mrdo/compile.html. I have not tried it myself as finding some of the files was somewhat challenging. I haven't tried recently, but give Mr. Do's compiling page a try and maybe it is something you could do. I just wish there was someone out there that had a compiled version of MAME to share ;-)

hey,

thanks for the response. I am afraid the link does not work...

I still wonder though why the option is available in mame / mala config but "unticks" itself after the first game start.

greets

I wouldn't have a problem if we kept compiled versions on the FTP they just cant be distributed publicly.
