Website access & Launchbox Sync: anyone else having issues from Germany?

Hey guys,

just wanted to check if anyone else is seeing some weird connection issues with EmuMovies at the moment.

From my normal connection here in Germany, the website either gets stuck loading or looks broken, and LaunchBox also has trouble syncing/downloading media from EmuMovies.

What’s interesting is that direct FTP access works fine. I also tried connecting through a VPN to a US server, and with that everything works normally — the website loads fine and LaunchBox sync works without any issues.

As soon as I switch the VPN off and go back to my normal German connection, the problems come back.

So I’m wondering if there might be some kind of regional routing/CDN issue going on. Just thought I’d mention it in case the team wants to take a look.

Quick update: I found the cause of the issue.

IPv6 was disabled on my active Ethernet adapter for some reason. I have no idea why, since I never changed that setting myself.

After enabling “Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)” again, everything immediately started working normally — the EmuMovies website loads fine and LaunchBox syncing/downloading works again without using a VPN.

So this wasn’t an EmuMovies server issue after all.
