Greetings.

I've been using EmuMovies Sync with great success across a variety of systems.
Sometimes it doesn't match all the artwork, but I guess its fuzz matching algo is being conservative in order to avoid false renaming operations.

Unfortunately, it seems that artwork for the original Playstation is not working. I've tried to rename the folders to something either than "psx", but I'm afraid I can't get it to download anything relating to the Playstation, at the moment.
Could it be a bug?

I haven't used the sync program in a while but have you tried renaming your folders or system to "Sony Playstation"? I don't recall having this issue in the past. You could also try just directly connecting to the FTP and navigating to the Playstation folder under Artwork.

Well, renaming the folders didn't work. This is indeed the only system that's causing issues in EmuMovies Sync. Everything else I tried worked great.

I understand downloading directly via FTP is also an option and I do that for smaller sets.
For the Playstation, however, there are too many files which would be fairly complicated to rename manually.
I wrote a tool for fuzz matching filenames and it helps, but it's not as good as EmuMovies Sync, so I was hoping to use it instead.

I get the feeling since you have mentioned "so many files" that you are using a raw redump set.  Which means a cue file for each game and an assortment of .bin files.  Go to the root of your files, search for ".cue" then copy all those files and paste them into a directory.  Scan that for a 1 to 1 match of your rom set.

I was thinking that too. I'd recommend just grabbing a full set in .chd format or converting them yourself with CHDMAN. Save tons of space plus way less files. The days of bins + cue's are pretty outdated for many systems since a lot of modern emulators now support chd and other similar formats. This is what my PS1 set looks like, never had any scraping issues.

Thank you for the replies. I'm using chd files as well. 
So chd is confirmed to work with emusync? It's not working here, so I'd like confirmation that it actually works before I try other solutions and see if we can get to the bottom of this.

Here's a screenshot of my folder. I have some m3u files in there too, but that's it. Nothing out of the ordinary. I don't see why it's not working for me...

Ah. I found the issue.
That filename was the culprit. After removing it, emusync works as usual.

Yeah, some programs don't like square brackets...
