donpachi1
hello,I wonder if anyone figured out how to click away the disclaimer / validation screen which comes up right before the game starts. It annoys me to hit "left right left right and any key". I found out that in the mala / mame / config / miscellaneous menu you can tick "deactivate disclaimer" and "skip validation". But: it wirks like for the first game, then it automatically "unticks" the box and the screen comes up again!!!!Is this a bug? is this wanted? Do I need to rewrite the code?? Thankful for any hint. thanksdon

The only way that I am aware of that allows you to work around this is to compile your own version of MAME. To learn how, go to http://mameworld.info/mrdo/compile.html. I have not tried it myself as finding some of the files was somewhat challenging. I haven't tried recently, but give Mr. Do's compiling page a try and maybe it is something you could do. I just wish there was someone out there that had a compiled version of MAME to share ;-)
donpachi1
hey, thanks for the response. I am afraid the link does not work...I still wonder though why the option is available in mame / mala config but "unticks" itself after the first game start. greetsdon
Circo
I just wish there was someone out there that had a compiled version of MAME to share ;-)I wouldn't have a problem if we kept compiled versions on the FTP they just cant be distributed publicly. bullrees
Not sure about mala but this gives you an easy way to compile mame yourself. (and take out the nag screens or add high score support)http://www.headsoft.com.au/index.php?category=mame&page=mc64
