Today we dropped some new video snaps for the Nintendo Switch. The set is now at 3,520 videos covering hopefully most of what people need. There is an almost unlimited amount of games (shovelware) for this system. I think the total is now somewhere north of 16,000 games in the library. So here is what we are asking, if you are still missing some videos for installed games or find an error, please let us know in the EmuMovies request section on the forums and we can prioritize those videos on the next round. There's never been a true European database and artwork for any given system I can think of, I've seen packs here and there, but this is different, I've worked on logos to match all cover arts, all released titles in Europe are covered here, including game compilations, protos and unlicensed games to this region, all different names were fixed, as we know not all games have the same name across the globe. This is a complete European Mega Drive pack of logos, including all games released in Europe, not only exclusives, even program entries are here, like Action Replay, mostly for the sake of the database and as a curiosity than any other practical use, also, all artwork is always nice to see, that's why having different regions for the same console is always relevant. This is a team work between @Robin55 and myself, we wanted separate regions and we're getting there, USA, Europe and Japan now complete. Note that most of this artwork wasn't created by me, I gathered all logos that matched the European cover arts on lots of places, but even so I had to cut 30 logos myself since not all were there. This is a complete Japanese Mega Drive set of logos, including those released outside Japan, SegaRetro was used as a base and every game, even software checked and a clean database was created, I'm including two databases, one that has all entries, including the software releases, the other without them. While I basically did 250+ logos myself, a lot of them were taken from various sources, including this forum, some from Deviant Art, some from the Launchbox database site. There were cases where I had to redo a bunch of them, so they all should match their box art counterparts. Expect a pack of 3D boxes and carts later today. No-Intro's naming isn't 100% accurate so many fixes were made during the database build up, for instance, "Contra: The Hardcorps (Japan)" is wrong since what's written in Katakana is "Contra: The Hardcore", anyone that'd like to make sure, just check SegaRetro for more info about the game names. I have added or replaced 569 video snaps for MAME. Still some more to go until I do another update in the downloads section, but these can be found on the FTP and Download service in the 480p section.
