Fake Genesis Boxart?

Hi All,

I've been spending a bunch of time lately updating my collection of Genesis boxart. (I'll upload it to the FTP once I'm done)

Unfortunately, it seems someone has been going around uploading (Badly) photoshop'd covers all over the 'net. Check this out as a prime example:

...The "Seal of Quality" is especially ironic, and especially horrible. It was used on the Wikipedia entry too

Usually these are pretty easy to spot, so i can just ignore them. I've come across one that looks suspicious, although my gut tells me that it's the real deal.

The fake boxes you are talking about are from www.thecoverproject.net. The reason the seal is fake is because they use a template to create their boxes and that is the seal the template they use has with it. If you are looking for a real set of genesis boxart, we are almost done collecting a 100 percent genuine set over at hyperspin. In fact we have exactly 15 boxes left to get for the complete set. If you are a gold member over at hyperspin you can get the entire set up to now off of the ftp.

Yeah, I found those guys a while back, and mistakenly added a few of them to my set. (I assumed they were 'cleaned up' scans until I saw the various logos.

I didn't realize that there was already a bunch of people at Hyperspin already working on this. I was putting off gold membership until I got my cabinet done, but I guess this sounds like a pretty good reason to join up now. All my scans are freely available on the net, but maybe I can even contribute something
