[Resolved][DDOS] Login error using Launchbox that started last night.

Recommended Posts

Understood, our server has been taking a ddos attack for the past 12 hours.  They were attacking the supermodel3 website and forum we were giving hosting to.  We have suspended the site and blocked china outright at the server level but 6000 requests a second are slowing things down and some requests occasionally get interrupted.  It should clear up soon, but in the meantime just give it a few minutes and try again.

Understood, thanks for the update and for working to resolve it, I appreciate the transparency. I'll give it a bit more time and try logging in again shortly. In the meantime, just wanted to let you know that I'm still unable to log in successfully over the last hour. If there's any other workaround or status update, I'd love to hear it.

It should be all over now thank goodness.

I have never seen a small site that averaged 250 hits a day for over a decade swell to over 1million hits an hour for over 12 hours straight.  He had to park the domain completely to stop it.

Thank you for the updates. I just tried a few minutes ago and I'm getting the same error message.

Still unable to log in for me. I wonder if the site was being attempted to be scraped for AI stuff and not only a DDOS attack

🤦‍♂️ I needed to hit a button to turn that back on after I reset everything following the attack, my fault. Please try again.

Nothing was pointed at EmuMovies and we have cloudflare for that, plus no media is actually on this server just the website and authentication.  It was an old phpbb forum that got flagged somehow.  There were two quick attacks over the past week.  The site was taken down and all was well and when the owner of the Supermodel 3 site went to fix it and the site was reenabled the massive attack started.

I will say having AI to parse logs is way nicer than how it used to be 😉
