Rooster
I am almost complete on this set give about another week and a half. This set will have all english covers and snapshots. The covers will not be watermarked but the snaps will (Advanscene) be. The set will not have duplicates and no demos with USA titles taking precedence over other english titles. There are 2 dats that are out the online dat ( demos are xxxxx) and offline dat (demos are numbered and correctly placed so the number of each title are different, which confuses a lot of people). I have the artwork listed as online dat. from 0 - 6000 So I would like to here from some members which of the 2 formats listed below would you prefer. The Numbered format example 0002 - Need for Speed - Underground 2 (U) 0003 - Yoshi Touch and Go (U) 0004 - Feel the Magic - XY XX (U) 0005 - WarioWare - Touched! The Alphbetical format example Feel the Magic - XY XX (U) Need for Speed - Underground 2 (U) WarioWare - Touched! Yoshi Touch & Go (U) So lets here from you
DeathEvil
I would stick with no-intro naming, therefore include numbers first
Circo
Doesn't no-intro have a numbered and non numbered.
DeathEvil
good question, I actually heard a rumor that they switched to non numbered, but on BG decrypted sets have numbers... if someone have some insight on the matter, please pinch in
Circo
It should be game name (USA)
Rooster
O.K its Official . According to the latest No-Intro Dat (Nintendo - Nintendo DS Decrypted (20120225-114427_CM) the correct file names are as follows:rom ( name "Feel the Magic - XY-XX (USA) (En,Ja).nds" size 33554432 crc 662D929F md5 FD920DBC37C332D392B547B1D7D5839D sha1rom ( name "Need for Speed - Underground 2 (USA) (En,Fr,De,Es,It).nds" size 33554432 crc C37AB273 md5 283631768B2213227FBBEE91154C688F sha1rom ( name "WarioWare - Touched! (USA).nds" size 33554432 crc 2CE68FAD md5 69F4522CF11E4AB3379B9724C62C78BC sha1rom ( name "Yoshi Touch & Go (USA).nds" size 16777216 crc 03D56334 md5 C8065C4B4A21337C2928A14973218D26 sha1Which Means I have to rename my roms also artwork to match the new dat.. So I really need some input here. Should I keep the numbers or not ?
DeathEvil
I vote for keeping numbers for the following reason:as far as I know bg is the only place for ds decrypted sets and they use numbers. if the following sets will follow new no-intro naming then grabbing a dat for old sets and renaming should not be an issue thanks to clrmame. If you can create a dat for the current 2 sets and use new naming (on numbers) then power to you - that would be ideal but I'm sure time consuming. Rooster
Actually there are 3 dats :The first one included the release group.0002 - Need for Speed - Underground 2 (U)(Trashman)I removed the group tag.The No-Intro release dat included languageNeed for Speed - Underground 2 (USA) (En,Fr,De,Es,It)The new release use M for multi and release number not rom number0003 - Need for Speed - Underground 2(US)(M5)Unfortunately when cmproing my roms which was complete with the first dat but under No-Intro it was not. All the while it was very fustrating to do while trying to build this set without the missing rom names and numbers by hand editing through the dat file. according to my set of 1980 0nly 1877 are correct. so if anybody has a full set that meet the No-Intro verified set plese post here. Rooster
Since there have been no replies to this thread, I thought I'll upload the conversion dat. The conversion dat will take your roms and name them to No-Intro and remove the duplicate files to match the artwork. The srtwork and the dat for conversion can now be found on the FTP server under Rooster. Also will be the dat in creating the artwork from. Cmpro with the conversion dat first then with official DS dat. (Because my rom set is Advancescene complete but not No-Intro complete and your set might be different ,even though the artwork is complete) Any Questions post a reply to this thread. Rooster
The new set is up on the FPT server under Rooster/Nintendo DS Updated 10-24-2012. The set now supports roms 0 - 6112. There is also a conversion dat to match the new set.I wii try to get a No-intro dat up as some are a little different with tags . about 125 to go as I sort through the list ( the numbers just throws everthing off) I try to rebuild but came out with 200 and some that were skipped because of the tags seems that some of the roms got deleted from the database or havent been updated on the Advancescene offline list but be assured that all match up except 2, Miffy's World (Europe) (En,Fr,Es,Nl,Pt) and Game & Watch Collection (USA) (Club Nintendo). But once done I will compare the No -Intro and Advancescene dats. I haven't uploaded on the site yet ( Be Patient ) but only availabe on FPT for now. It also include manuals. As stated before theese set contain no duplicates except revisions and updates as of now it contains 2078 box and 2078 snaps and 224 manuals. Rooster
I had wanted to update this for christmas but the some of the roms did not match the dat. However with the recent release all match but 3. So with the 40 redumps + 34 new additions will be a new dat. This set will cover 0 to 6147. Should be comming soon once I get the torrent out.
