straydawg
I'm a 50 yo male from the US with close to a terabyte of roms collected over the years. Have a very basic mame64 setup running on my PC. My arcade cabinet is about 90% complete and I'm looking for the bling. What front end should I start with? How easy is it to customize a front end? I have most of the "extras" which i've either gotten via torrent (archive.org) or started to use sync from here to complete my collection. What works best with the sync content and video snaps? I'm sticking with windows for now. ( I'm a hackintosh user at home and windows developer at work )

I have a long post to send you regarding my own preferences and observations setting up many front ends on multiple machines from a raspberry Pi running EmulationStation to a modern HTPC running HyperSpin and Kodi. I have 2 systems now, the Pi and a Launchbox/BigBox, RocketLauncher, RetroArch setup. I can be more verbose, but I think to start, someone could use LaunchBox with or without the BigBox aniimatic driven enhancement and use Retroarch as the man emulator to consolidate most of your emulators and platforms
TheHobbyist
@straydawg If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend you check out LaunchBox for a "Bling" front end (Especially the Big Box feature). It integrates very well with RetroArch and with MAME rom sets. I agree completely with what @FlightRisk said above. Feel free to reply or send me a message if you have questions or need help. Cheers!
