Most providers of 3G/4G internet limit connections to one which does not allow for FTP connections.  Both Sync and FTP use anywhere from 3-5 connections and it is suggested that you use a standard internet connection.  Some users have reported that using the VPN or contacting their provider can lead to a solution.
