Star Fox: A New Hope (Part II) | Nintendo Documentary
In the 1990s, Star Fox consistently broke new ground for Nintendo. Star Fox for SNES (1993) became Nintendo’s first game to use polygonal graphics, while Star Fox 64 (1997) introduced fans to another innovation with the Rumble Pak and further immersed players with full voice acting. Both trail-blazing games were among the best-selling titles on their respective systems. Fast-forward more than 25 years later and the Star Fox IP is fighting to keep a spot on Nintendo’s roster. After the disappointing sales of Star Fox Zero (2016), many believed the franchise was looking at a permanent game-over screen.
