Name: Retro Style Spotlight [2-7-17] Unreleased N64 Game Riqa, Wataroo, DOS DRM Wheels, Hiroki Kikuta Category: News and Entertainment Date Added: 2017-03-01 Submitter: SentaiBrad This weeks edition of Retro Style Spotlight starts on some somber news. After several decades of video inovation, the creator behind Pac Man and Namco founder Masaya Nakamura, has passed away at the age of 91. Pac Man was a cultural icon in America, before Mario or Sonic. The rest of the stories is about last weeks Vectrex tutorial, Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta and his fusion album on bandcamp, DOS DRM Code Wheels and their preservation, the Watara SuperVision called Wataroo, a lost Nintendo 64 prototype called Riqa that was meant to rival Tomb Raider. The Retro Song of the week this week is entitled The Old Mansion by the Road, from the game Uninvited, remixed by Sir_NutS, Stephen Kelly, and WillRock. This EDM, 80's synth style horror remix is amazing. This month in gaming is also about the classic Legend of Zelda for the Famicom Disk System (FDS) and Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
