  7. Name: Virtual Boy - LaunchBox Tutorial Category: News and Entertainment Date Added: 2016-12-17 Submitter: SentaiBrad Today's tutorial is about the odd, commercial failure of a console called the Virtual Boy. This console is actually fairly intriguing, and not really a handheld but it's technically portable. Either way, after changing the red color of this system to a more neutral black and white, the system's games can shine through and there are still several amazing experiences here to have. There is now more customization that has been opened up, and you can supply any video you want in this slot. There is also a timing option in the settings, just in case your Big Box launches faster than the video can finish playing. We also suggest using the Video linked below, but you can supply any video you want, with the timer setting currently going up to 30 seconds. I've moved on from MESS Standalone to MAME with the integrated MESS code. It's pretty much the exact same process, minus a few extra steps, so it's technically easier! Just find a MAME Split pack, and follow the instructions! 14. Name: Unconventional Compression - Feature Specific LaunchBox Tutorial Category: Emulation Tutorials Date Added: 2016-12-11 Submitter: SentaiBrad In today's tutorial, is a complicatd one all about Unconventional Compression, or how to compress your games without using archival methods like a .rar or .7z. This covers a generally safe method on how to compress or cut out dummy data and how it works for PS1, PS2, PSP, GameCube and Wii. PS1 utilizes PBP's, PS2 and PSP utilize CSO's (though slightly different), GameCube doesn't change file extension (or rather this method doesn't) but it does still zero out dummy file data, and Wii utilizes WBFS. PBP's, CSO's and WBFS files all utilize some form of compression, and some utilize zeroing out dummy data as well. That's the easiest way I can explain it in a quick video description... Now, this can be used for pretty much any setting in RetroArch, but I show it off in conjunction with setting up controls for the Nintendo 64 core, Mupen64 in RetroArch. It's not the only situation, but one of the better situations to need to use custom configs. All you gotta do is create your account, sign in through RetroArch and you are on your way to earning Achievements for your Retro Games!
