  4. Name: Retro Style Spotlight [2-14-17] NES Classic Plays RetroArch, Castlevania Netflix Show Category: News and Entertainment Date Added: 2017-03-01 Submitter: SentaiBrad Today's Retro Style Spotlight has a bit of everything like usual! There are twp new English Translations available, one for 3x3 Eyes on the SNES and one for Fullmetal Alchemist for the GBA. Castlevania also has a Netflix show in production and it's shaping up to be a respectable outing for the series. As well, the NES Classic has been hacked EVEN FURTHER, now allowing for the emulator RetroArch to be installed, which means that the Game Boy, Genesis and SNES are all now playable on the NES Classic. The Retro Remix Song of the Week this week is a much more mellow symphonic arrangement. Called Afternoon in the Sacred Forest Meadow, from Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and remixed by Doc Nano, this song is very impressive and relaxing. This song feels like it could very easily be in an older Disney movie, or even some of the earlier Studio Ghibli movies as well. Check it out, in the links below. I started to average a shorter video, but a more concise and better edited video. This week, I went long, and even did some fancier than usual editing! That's my sorry there was no Tutorial last week apology! Enjoy. This weeks top story was about the Ar Tonelico 2 re-translation project, Project Metafalica. Name: Retro Style Spotlight [11-15-16] TurboGrafx, NeoSD, Tyranny, Kirby's Toy Box, Link to the Past Category: News and Entertainment Date Added: 2016-11-19 Submitter: SentaiBrad In this edition of Retro Style Spotlight, last weeks tutorial was based on the TurboGrafx 16 and TurboGrafx CD, so if you need some help getting those set up, check it out. Today's top stories is about the newly released Neo Geo AES and MVS flash cart called NeoSD, which is now available for purchase! I also want to spotlight a new CRPG that is released by the same developers who made Pillars of Eternity, and is a throwback to older CRPG's just like Pillars, called Tyranny, that is extremely dark. There has also been some new Sattelaview games that have been found thanks to Frank Cifaldi and his group called Kirby's Toy Box, and is a series of sub or mini games that are not the greatest, but something that looks interesting and I am happy that it exists. This weeks Retro Remix Song is called Pull the Plug by WillRock, and is an awesome Electro High Temp song that mixes Mega Man 1 and Mega Man 10. This month in gaming is all about the Legend of Zelda Link to the Past and it's amazing legacy that it left behind. 15. Name: Retro Style Spotlight [11-8-16] Daytona & Cruis'n, MiniNES Teardown, Diablo Remake, Ocarina of Time Category: News and Entertainment Date Added: 2016-11-19 Submitter: SentaiBrad In this edition of Retro Style Spotlight, I covered last weeks tutorial which was all about the Neo Geo MVS and the Neo Geo CD, so check them out if you want to play those systems in LaunchBox. Otherwise, today's top stories was about Daytona and the Cruis'n racing series of arcade games getting full sequels, and the Cruis'n sequel is set for release in December. The NES Mini has been torn down, and it's actually very surprising what is inside of that little case and the power behind emulating the Nintendo Entertainemtn System. Diablo 1 is getting re-made, for the most part, in side of Diablo 3 as a free update. The update will include music and sound effects inspired and or lifted from the original game, as well as a filter that retro styles the existing game. This week's Retro Remix Song is a light remix on the original Tristram theme from Diablo 1, how fitting. This month in gaming is all about the universally well regarded Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64. 18. Name: Retro Style Spotlight [10-18-16] Adventures of Musashi, Policenauts, Piko Interactive, Beatmania Category: News and Entertainment Date Added: 2016-10-29 Submitter: SentaiBrad Today's Retro Style Spotlight is jam packed! It starts with last weeks Sega Model 3 Arcade tutorial centered around Supermodel. It's a lot easier than you might give it credit for, but if you are having issues with it, check it out. Today's stories are all about Musashi no Bouken, or The Adventures of Musashi Jr., an NES JRPG very similar to Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior) but set in feudal Japan, there is also the Policenauts Saturn english translation that is finally complete and that game is lauded as being superior in most every way to the PS1 rendition, and about a company called Piko Interactive that is taking lesser known, unknown or hard to find games, acquiring the rights to distribute them and distributing them in the way that they are meant to be played, which is usually on a retro video game console. This weeks Retro Remix is Thunderstruck by Big Giant Circles. It's a very awesome Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remix that really kicks the LoZ music up a notch. This weeks this month in gaming is all about the Rhythm Game from Konami that has the claim to fame of starting it all, beatmania. While it's cousin Dance Dance Revolution became more of a hit here in America, beatmania still has the title for getting Konami in to the music genre that no one else had before, and starting a music game revolution that still goes to this day!
