New features for this week are automatically populating playlists and custom platform sorting. Ever wanted to create an automatic list of all of the games you've played in the last month? Or games that are rated 5 stars but aren't favorited, or vice versa? How about all games with missing metadata? All this is now possible using the auto-populating playlist features in the latest beta. You can even include them directly in with your platforms if you want, making them immediately accessible in both LaunchBox and Big Box. These features replace the previously implemented custom filters, with a much more flexible, stable, and performant solution. The possibilities are endless and you'll find that it gives you a lot more control over your collection. Also, it may not seem like a big deal, but a lot of people on the forums are very excited to finally be able to custom-sort their platforms in both LaunchBox and Big Box. Using the new Sort Title field on platforms and playlists, you can now order them however you like. For example, you may want to put all Nintendo consoles together and order them by their release date, rather than sorting them alphabetically leaving Super Nintendo out in a different spot in the list. Using the Sort Title field you can position any platform or playlist anywhere in your list. There are twp new English Translations available, one for 3x3 Eyes on the SNES and one for Fullmetal Alchemist for the GBA. Castlevania also has a Netflix show in production and it's shaping up to be a respectable outing for the series. As well, the NES Classic has been hacked EVEN FURTHER, now allowing for the emulator RetroArch to be installed, which means that the Game Boy, Genesis and SNES are all now playable on the NES Classic. The Retro Remix Song of the Week this week is a much more mellow symphonic arrangement. Called Afternoon in the Sacred Forest Meadow, from Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and remixed by Doc Nano, this song is very impressive and relaxing. This song feels like it could very easily be in an older Disney movie, or even some of the earlier Studio Ghibli movies as well. Check it out, in the links below. The Retro Song of the week this week is entitled The Old Mansion by the Road, from the game Uninvited, remixed by Sir_NutS, Stephen Kelly, and WillRock.
