  1. I have many vertical MAME games which occupy only the central part of my horizontal screen. I have understood that there is an option in MAME to enable "bezels", which are background images that are displayed around the gameplay area in order to fill the screen. I am not sure but it seems that kind of images are available in "MAME Artwork Pack" and "MAME Artwork Preview Pack", but from the look of them, they seem to go quite a lot around... above, below, left and right, and therefore greatly reducing the gameplay area! I am rather looking for bezels that only go left and right, so that the gameplay area utilizes the whole height of the screen. Do you know where to find such format of bezels? While searching for instructions on the GameEx forums, I stumbled upon Krakerman's MAME bezels impressive work. Even tho technically his bezels do reduce the gameplay area vertically a bit, it is not really that much, so they would be fine for me. But they don't seem to be in the format expected by MAME, which I think requires a .PNG image and a .LAY file zipped together. Krakerman's bezels use an .INI file instead of .LAY, I think they are meant for RocketLauncher which I do not use.

Well since releasing my first 2 XMLs (MAME Horror Games and William's Classics) I've been quite busy with other projects like Dungeons & Dragons,Terrordrome, Visual Pinball, and Future Pinball. I've also been playing/restoring my ColecoVision console and noticed there are quite a few great games by Exidy. I decided to whip up an Exidy Classics XML and Main Menu theme for your enjoyment. The Exidy Classics XML can be found here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/12379-exidy-classics/ The Exidy Classics Main Menu Theme can be found here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/12379-exidy-classics/ Incidentally, I never copy and paste all the MAME artwork into these Arcade Classics folders. There is a much better way using symbolic links. I simply PICK the video folder from the MAME media directory and DROP it in the media folder for the new system (in this case Exidy Classics). For a full explanation on how to do this and save a lot of time and space look here: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/

MAME Manuals Pack for use with RocketLauncher. Unzip to your RocketLauncher Media Folder. Games Supported: 393 About RocketLauncher RocketLauncher is not just a launch solution. RocketLauncher is an abstraction layer that ultimately sets the standard in emulators and standardizes key mapping commands. HyperPause is the dream of any emulator menu. The modules break the barriers of compatibility. Rom Mapping solved the lives of collectors. RocketLauncher is definitely the last word in matters of emulators. The choice of Front End has become a matter of mere affinity for design. And besides, you are not forced to follow a single solution, like MESS, you keep using your favorite emulator.
  6. Am I blind or is mspacman.mp4 missing from the download section? I found puckman to use for pacman but I don't believe mspacman to be a clone. Thanks in advance!
  7. Does EmuMovies supply the "overlays" used in some MAME games? I'm not sure if "overlays" is the right term, but I am referring to the artwork that is displayed beneath the computer generated graphics of some games. It was used to enhance the look of the game by providing an interesting background image that didn't need to be rendered by the computer. I think Asteroids was a game that used one. EmuMovies doesn't seem to supply these files which seems surprising. Does anyone know where I can download these files? Thanks.
