  2. Yeah, I made the mistake of upgrading everything on my Pi3, so not only did it update the emulators, it updated Retropie to 4.5.1 as well. Apparently in the new version 4.5.1, they have removed Debian/Jessie support and it's possible this version of MotionBlue relied on parts of it when displaying the box art and running scripts for the curvature of the screen and location of it. I'm not really a programmer, so I don't know. My packs should still be good for boxart and marquees for any theme that is used, but it looks like I'll be stuck on 4.4 from now on and just update the emulators. If you can get to the emumovies FTP site, in my folder are all the packs including the videos, so you won't need to scrape anything - it's already been done. Hang tight because after I recover my Retropie and get it back to where it was before I updated, in the next few weeks I'll be issuing an Atari 7800 pack and a MAME, Volume 1 pack with 50 arcade games.... more to come!
  3. I see what you guys are talking about. I just updated my Retropie and everything is broken. I'm going to reinstall version 4.4 and see if that fixes the issues.
  4. Can either of you guys send me a screenshot of the problem you are having? I remember having an issue with the original Simply Austin theme with the artwork getting stretched, but I fixed it in my modified version - same thing with the video and marquees. The first screenshot looked fine, but when you went to scroll down the list of games, it stretched. It doesn't have that problem anymore - it sounds like you just need an updated script to get everything to fit properly.
  5. I'm not sure about the lightning bolt. I have a 3B and it doesn't give me a problem. As far as the artwork getting cut off, I don't know. I have given the same files to one of my friends at work to test them out and he didn't have any issues. The only thing I can think of is that I had to modify some of the files in the theme to make things fit properly on the screen - maybe replace the theme with a fresh copy. My version is designed to run at 1920x1080, so if you have a different resolution than that, maybe that is the reason the box art is cut off a bit.
  6. To install this theme, create a themes folder in /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation, copy the "motionblue" folder over to it and restart emulationstation. I use Filezilla as my FTP program to access the retropie folders. Hit the start button to bring up the main menu and select "UI Settings". Scroll down to "Theme Set" and select "MOTIONBLUE". While still in the "UI Settings", go all the way to the bottom and turn off "On-Screen Help". Exit out of "UI Settings" and return to the Main Menu. Select "Other Settings" and turn on "Use OMX Player (HW Accelerated)". You are now ready to use retropie. Download some System Packs, follow the setup instructions, add some ROMS and you will be ready to play!
  7. Did you get the Sega Genesis Mini Image to work?  If you need help, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

  8. spannernick1, the theme.xml is in the zip file named "Sega_Genesis_Mini_Theme.zip" at the top of this thread - posted December 8th .
  9. spannernick1, the mini-genesis theme these are all designed to work with is at the top of this thread - posted December 8th. There are also detailed instructions with it to help set it up. Don't forget everyone, the system packs, complete with all the hi-res videos are in my folder on the EmuMovies FTP at /Upload Here/_Other/MLSchleps. Become a member of EmuMovies for FTP access! This will probably be the last update I will have for a few months - I am tackling a big one next - the Sega Genesis. Bear with me - I will get it done eventually. 🙂
  10. Here is System Pack #8 - The Sega CD! This is a combination of official US Releases, Europe releases and Japanese releases that have english text in the games and a few unreleased prototypes. Bezel included to match the Mini Genesis format and CRT filters. All of the cue files are included with this pack - just make sure the bin files have the same file name as the cue file - case matters! Enjoy. 11. Here is System Pack #7 - The Sega Master System! This has taken quite a while to complete, but it was worth it. This is a combination of official US Releases, Europe releases, Japanese releases that have english text in the games, and releases from Brazil. Also included prototypes and some homebrew games in the mix. Bezel included to match the Mini Genesis format and CRT filters. Enjoy! 12. It's done!! It's out!! I hope everyone enjoys it!! Go to my retropie thread to download it:
  13. Here is System Pack #6 - SNK Neo Geo! This is THE definitive Neo Geo experience on Retropie! I have spent a lot of time on this and this is what I've been working on the most for the last several months. This pack contains the original boxart for each Neo Geo game and bezels for each game that has the original marquee with the game controls. The CRT filters are also in place to make this a realistic arcade/home experience. Where there was no original boxart or marquee, custom boxart and marquees in the same format of the originals were created to put together a complete set. This pack should please any Neo Geo enthusiast! I hope you enjoy it! System_Pack_No._6_-_SNK_Neo_Geo_(v1.0).zip System Pack No. 6 - SNK Neo Geo Gamelist (v1.0).zip
  14. Here is System Pack #5 - NEC Turbografx 16! All 94 official US Releases are included with updated and cleaned up Artwork and Marquees. Bezel included to match the Mini Genesis format and CRT filters. Enjoy! System_Pack_No._5_-_Turbografx_16_(v1.0).zip System Pack No. 5 - Turbografx 16 Gamelist (v1.0).zip

  17. Here is System Pack #2: Atari Lynx! This was a labor of love. I actually had this system and about 25 games for it. I had both versions, but the second release was my favorite. This System Pack has the second version as a bezel and the bezel actually rotates depending on the game. I think you will really be happy with this pack if you are a Lynx fan! 18. Here is System Pack #1: Virtual Boy! System_Pack_No._1_-_Virtual_Boy_(v1.0).zip System Pack No. 1 - Virtual Boy gamelist (v1.0).zip
  19. So after thinking about this for a while, I have decided to release the System Packs here on this thread, so everyone will have access to it. Included in the System Packs will be the ROMS folder, which has the boxart and marquees for each and a 'snap' folder for the movies. You can get either the low-res movies from the site or get the hi-res movies from the FTP and place them in the 'snap' folder - just make sure the video names are the same as the ones in the boxart folder and everything will work perfectly. Place your ROM files in the ROMS folder and make sure they are named the same as the boxart files - case matters, so make sure they are named exactly the same. Also included in the zip file are config files and bezels. There is an instructions.txt file that tells you where to place the files. Finally, there is a gamelist.xml file which goes in the ROMS folder. This is my least favorite part of doing these packs. This is the database that contains all the information about the games. I separated this out because this file is a work-in-progress that will be updated as I get more information. Some games don't have all the information like descriptions, release date, etc. I'll update it as I get time to do it.... unless someone awesome wants to help with it :) So here is the modified Simply Austin Sega Genesis Mini Image, bare minimum with no gamepaks installed yet: Sega_Genesis_Mini_Theme.zip
  20. It's been a while. I've been busy putting together Packs for Retropie. Here's a new type of bezel - one with no artwork. Today's bezel is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Arcade Game: tmntu.zip
  21. So I have 64 of the 150 or so done. Hopefully won't be too much longer before I release this pack. Believe it or not, the thing that seems to take the longest is getting the gamelist the way I want it - good descriptions, coordinating the artwork names, getting the proper date to show up... I also have a Turbografx 16 and Sega CD Pack where the artwork is finished, but the gamelist is not. They're just tedious.... Anyway, here are some screenshots for the Simply Austin Mini Genesis Neo Geo Pack work-in-progress (taken with my Note 8):
  22. Just an update that I am making progress. I have over 1/3 of the boxes and marquees done for all the Neo Geo games. It's taking a long time because I am also creating and/or cleaning up existing boxes and marquees as I go along. I'm also making the "Now Featuring" bigger and bolder and the final result looks great!
  23. A few days ago, someone had asked about the Neo Geo mini marquees. I'm putting together a Neo Geo set for the Simply Austin Mini-Genesis Retropie image and here is an example of what the Magician Lord and Sengoku files would look like. I'm hoping to get some feedback to see if the bezels are good or if anyone has any suggestions to make them better. Let me know what you think!
  24. I am currently working on a set for my Retropie Mini Genesis. I have about half of them done and should hopefully be finished them in the next few weeks.
  25. So today, I uploaded another system pack to my folder on the EmuMovies FTP at /Upload Here/_Other/MLSchleps. It is "System Pack #4 - NEC Supergrafx". There's only 5 games for it, so it was a somewhat quick one to do. You have to copy over es_systems.cfg to /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation in order for it to be recognized - that file is located in the Themes folder on the FTP. I'm still working on the SegaCD pack - all the artwork is done, I'm just working on completing the database.
