(FIXED) 404 Session has expired. Please login..

BiGDeV

Question

I'm getting this error after a few hours of using the sync api via LaunchBox.  I'm trying to import a full rom set, while retrieving meta data, etc.

Everything goes well the first few hours, but then I start to get this error on every single file (I think) until the process eventually completes and tells me there was 3000+ errors:

"(404) Session has expired. Please login.."

I've attached a screenshot of this.

I'm a lifetime member of both EmuMovies & LaunchBox so it can't be an account limit.  I thought it was unlimited downloads per day and unlimited session time when I signed up.

What is the session time limit?

I've got a 100Mbs internet connection, but in Australia, so international bandwidth is probably a 10th of that. So I have to be patient.  I usually start the import process at 8pm and leave it overnight, to return at 8am and see these errors accumulating (about 80% of process would be complete), So I have to wait another few hours for the process to complete, then select all apps/games and tap on "Tools -> Download metadata & media" to get all the missing files.  This also eventually starts giving the 404 error after a few hours.  This is very frustrating. AND I still need to import all the other platforms too. This is just the NES ones.

Hope someone can shed some light.

Similar issue here, 404 Database Connection Error.  Things were working earlier in the week but starting yesterday every attempt to sync gives this message...

This is reassuring I'm not alone. I thought is was maybe my firewall or adblocking affecting it. Its clearly a site problem....

I also am having this issue. Yesterday everything was working fine as I was adding games and their media and then last night I started getting these errors. Tried again this morning and same issue - tons of 404 database connection failure issues. Nothing on my side changed. I think something is wrong with the DB server. Can anyone confirm this?

We just diagnosed and resolved the issue.  It should be solved now.

This is still happening for me.

It was a bug in the scraping changes they recently made. Spoke to Jason and it's on the short list to be fixed if not already.
