Unconventional Compression - Feature Specific LaunchBox Tutorial
In today's tutorial, is a complicatd one all about Unconventional Compression, or how to compress your games without using archival methods like a .rar or .7z. This covers a generally safe method on how to compress or cut out dummy data and how it works for PS1, PS2, PSP, GameCube and Wii. PS1 utilizes PBP's, PS2 and PSP utilize CSO's (though slightly different), GameCube doesn't change file extension (or rather this method doesn't) but it does still zero out dummy file data, and Wii utilizes WBFS. PBP's, CSO's and WBFS files all utilize some form of compression, and some utilize zeroing out dummy data as well. That's the easiest way I can explain it in a quick video description...
