  1. Hey everyone, so brand new to emulating and am currently building my first machine using the RASPBERRY PI3 in Attract Mode. Noticed that I'm not getting snaps and wheels for certain things so thought I'd sign up here and see if I can learn something new. Any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated. GAME ON!

  4. I've uploaded a new modular RetroFE system to the EmuMovies FTP site, at /Upload Here/RetroFE While it contains a README.txt as well, a bit of explanation: - The RetroFE base.zip file contains the base RetroFE installation, with the latest executable. It's not very different from what you can find in the download section at RetroFE, except that it does not have the (nearly empty) Sega Genesis and Arcade collection. - The MAME 0.182 emulator.zip file contains the MAME emulator installation. All the collections currently in the set use MAME as their emulator, and the launchers all point to this installation. - The rest of the zip files contain collections, as complete as I have them, with launchers for Linux and Windows. Just unzip them in the RetroFE directory. - The emulators directory contains the MAME artwork (bezels), which can you simply drag and drop as a whole into your RetroFE directory. The MAME installation mentioned above will automatically use them. Basically, all you need to do is take the base (or use your own), unzip the MAME installation if you want, unzip the collections you want, add them to your Main collection's menu.txt file, add your games, and enjoy. The sets are mostly based on HyperSpin 1.0 XML files, so finding the corresponding games should be easy.

  8. I'm 39 years old....but 10 when it comes to gaming fun and memories :-) I'm so happy to be here! Emulation has always been a huge part of my computer experience; as I started out with it when the first NES emulators were coming out, very broken implementations; but alive and well with the spirit of hope and excitement. Fast-forward (to now), and my mind is blown that so many systems now enjoy incredible emulation....recently discovered how far PS2 emulation has come and it blows my mind, because I used to struggle to get SNES games to even PLAY or genesis games to have any audio! ...One thing however I've always been lazy (and lame) with, is front-ends, interfaces, etc...My goals here are to A.) contribute how I can and B.) get a front-end interface up that combines as many emulators as I can + STEAM, playable and awesome. Also I have the complete Exodos and his 300+ GB Windows 3.1 release, forget the name) game packages...I realize nothing interfaces ALL of these others WITH those, but it would be awesome to get something front-end together for everything else at least. I have a ton of CONTENT, arcade, console and computer wise...stuff I've been collecting and updating my collection since it all started, probably in 94-96, should I try to figure out how EmuMovies Sync works and start there? Is there a walk-through / step-by-step tutorial available that I missed to take a large collection and transform it into an organized playable masterpiece? Thanks everyone, it's nice to be here! I will be contributing as much as I can in the coming days/weeks/eons... - Brett, aka "cleverest"

  10. Hi, Quick introduction: my project for next year is to build a two players bartop, using a PC & hyperspin. I am slowly discovering emumovies and hyperspin, and still struggling with what work will be needed to get emulators, roms, videos, hyperspin menu, to work with my bartop & players button. Or how to link media and roms, ... I have seen a few posts about "dont buy ready-made HDD with hyperspin and medias", and will try to setup things on my own, with limited time (main focus is on work, kids, martial arts, and moving to new place...). Wish me luck :) ... Project ETA: summer 2017 hopefully... Please bear with me.
