  3. Name: Virtual Boy - LaunchBox Tutorial Category: News and Entertainment Date Added: 2016-12-17 Submitter: SentaiBrad Today's tutorial is about the odd, commercial failure of a console called the Virtual Boy. This console is actually fairly intriguing, and not really a handheld but it's technically portable. Either way, after changing the red color of this system to a more neutral black and white, the system's games can shine through and there are still several amazing experiences here to have. 7. Name: Unconventional Compression - Feature Specific LaunchBox Tutorial Category: Emulation Tutorials Date Added: 2016-12-11 Submitter: SentaiBrad In today's tutorial, is a complicatd one all about Unconventional Compression, or how to compress your games without using archival methods like a .rar or .7z. This covers a generally safe method on how to compress or cut out dummy data and how it works for PS1, PS2, PSP, GameCube and Wii. PS1 utilizes PBP's, PS2 and PSP utilize CSO's (though slightly different), GameCube doesn't change file extension (or rather this method doesn't) but it does still zero out dummy file data, and Wii utilizes WBFS. PBP's, CSO's and WBFS files all utilize some form of compression, and some utilize zeroing out dummy data as well. That's the easiest way I can explain it in a quick video description... PS1 PBP Program: http://dl.qj.net/psp/tools-utilities-on-pc/psx2psp-v142.html PS2 CSO Program: https://github.com/unknownbrackets/maxcso/releases PSP CSO Program: https://filetrip.net/psp-downloads/tools-utilities/download-yet-another-cso-compressoryacc-0403-f25097.html GameCube Trimmer: http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/gcit.html Wii WBFS Program: http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/ LaunchBox: https://www.launchbox-app.com/ Our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/launchbox Our Forums: https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum Our Twitter: https://twitter.com/launchboxapp Our Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/launchboxapp Our Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/jasondavidcarr Our Discord: https://discord.gg/X3Cwsyw Steam Group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/LaunchBox# Brad's Channel: https://www.youtube.com/SentaiBrad Unconventional Compression - Feature Specific LaunchBox Tutorial

  9. Today's tutorial is all about an awesome feature in RetroArch called Custom Configs. Now, this can be used for pretty much any setting in RetroArch, but I show it off in conjunction with setting up controls for the Nintendo 64 core, Mupen64 in RetroArch. It's not the only situation, but one of the better situations to need to use custom configs. Name: Retro Style Spotlight [12-6-16] Nerdy Christmas Sweaters, Rayman SNES, Tales of Phantasia Category: News and Entertainment Date Added: 2016-12-11 Submitter: SentaiBrad Today's edition of Retro Style Spotlight is a shorter one, but I talk about last weeks tutorial on Custom Configs in Retro Arch, some ugly, or amazing, Christmas sweaters crossed with nerdy and gaming culture to amaze or disgust you, and I showcase the original, long lost Rayman on the SNES. The Retro Remix song of the week this week is titled Hero of Celceta, remixed by OceansAndrew and Scaredsim, based on Ys 4. The song is as epic as Falcom music usually is as well. This month in gaming is all about the original Tales of game, Tales of Phantasia and the game that started the hit JRPG series. If you enjoyed this weeks RSS, then leave your comment below! 15. Today's tutorial is about a feature that I am unsure most of you even know exists, and it's called RetroAchievements. All you gotta do is create your account, sign in through RetroArch and you are on your way to earning Achievements for your Retro Games! It's currently only available for a small list of systems, and nothing 3D related, but it can be expanded in the future!
